Accenture has made a name for itself as one of the world’s leading management consulting and technology services companies. Established in 1989 by a group of partners from the consulting division of Arthur Andersen, Accenture began life as Andersen Consulting.

(Accenture 2009, p. 6)

Today, Accenture is a consulting behemoth with more than 180,000 employees in more than 150 cities in 49 countries. Accenture’s partners control about 30 percent of the company’s voting shares. The firm’s traditional stronghold is systems integration, but it also lays claim to formidable strategy, technology consulting, and outsourcing practices.

(Accenture 2009, p. 6)

Accenture’s consultants surely have a great experience... ...or they have not, although in contemporary world hats make people. ...You put a consultant’s hat on a youngster and... ...certainly, they have to be good actors.

Accenture’s undergraduate hires can become consultants after a relatively short time with the firm. Entry-level hires are traditionally up for their initial promotion to analyst after 12 to 18 months, with a step up to consultant another year or two down the road.

(Accenture 2009, p. 18)

In fact, they have to act continuously:

Analysts and consultants should expect an active daily work schedule that fills up quickly with meetings, technical problem solving, and individual report work. There’s not a lot of downtime—managers, teammates, and clients make continual demands. One insider estimates consultants spend 20 to 50 percent of the day in meetings. When you’re not interacting with clients or fixing bugs, you’ll be trying to squeeze in an hour to concentrate on analysis and documentation.

(Accenture 2009, p. 24)

If you work in such a company, you have inevitably to follow patterns will seem suitable. If you are a customer, of whatever kind, of such a company, you’ll have to deal with analysts and consultants following patterns will seem you suitable. ...Such is contemporary world... A lot of money is spent and earned in such a way. Perhaps is lost money. Perhaps there are even further losses. Anyway, ...such is life!

This booklet is finally focused on how you may apply to or how to deal with an offer for eventually being hired from or through this company.
